SUNDAY
USA -Tel Aviv
breakfast Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Israel.

arrive Tel Aviv and transfer for leisure & overnight in Tel Aviv.

MONDAY
Tel Aviv – Beersheva – Arad – Masada – Jerusalem.
Leave Tel Aviv to Beersheba for a short visit to the Negev capital and the site of Abrahams well. Then via Arad to Masada. Mountain which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Ascend by cable car to the fortress, Visit the excavations, Herod’s palaces, the synagogue, bathhouse, etc. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea.
Descend to the Dead Sea the lowest place on earth. Take a break near Ein Gedi for a short Swim or float in the salty minerals water.
Proceed to Jerusalem for overnight.

TUESDAY
Jerusalem – sightseeing of the new city
Drive to Mt. Scopus for a panoramic view of Jerusalem.
Then to the Garden of Gethsemane and Church of the Agony.
Visit the tomb of King David on Mt. Zion, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Visit the Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls,Drive by the Supreme Court bldg & Mt. Herzl.
visit in “Yad Vashem” (the memorial for the millions who were killed in the Holocaust). visit the model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem dating back to the time of the Second Temple. Afternoon visit of the Hadassah medical center in the synagogue with Marc Chagall stained glass windows, then drive thrue the old village of Ein Karem (the birth place of John the Baptist) to the Hotel for overnight.

WEDNESDAY
Jerusalem (Old City) and Bethlehem*
Walk through one of the Gates to the walled Old City: the renewed Jewish Quarter;
visit the Temple area, the last standing Western Wall or the Wailling wall, walk the Via Dolorosa, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Walk out of the old city of Jerusalem via the colorful bazaars; and drive to Bethlehem* to visit Rachel Tomb and the Church of the Nativity and return to Jerusalem for overnight.

THURSDAY
Jericho* – Jordan river – Tiberius – Galilee
Leave Jerusalem, driving via Bethany and Jericho*, the oldest city in the world. continue northward via Jordan Valley and the new settlements to Beit Shean. After a short visit stop in Yardenit when you can walk into the Jordan river , proceed to Tiberius the old center of Jewish learning. Drive along the shores of the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum to visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue. Continue to a Kibbutz hotel for overnight.

FRIDAY
Upper Galilee – Golan Heights – Nazareth
Drive to the Golan Heights. Visit the former Syrian fortifications, Birkat Ram, and the Druze villages, Via Banias, source of the Jordan River. Proceed via Kiryat Shmone and the Hula Valley to Safed, city of the Kabala, to visit synagogue and the artists colony and then to Nazareth to visit the Christian Holy Sites. Return to the Kibbutz hotel for overnight.

SATURDAY
Acre – Haifa – Carmel – Eilat
After Breakfast drive west to Acre for a visit of the old, famous Crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications. Continue to Haifa, sightseeing tour of Haifa, including the Bahai Shrine, Persian Garden and Mount Carmel for a panoramic view of the city. Proceed southwards to Caesarea to visit the Roman theater and the Crusader fortress. Continue south for a short city tour of Tel Aviv-Jaffa for overnight .

SUNDAY
Nairobi – Mt. Kenya
Leave Ben Gurion Airport for Nairobi the Capital of Kenya. A 2-3 hours drive will bring us to the fabulous Serena Mountain Lodge located at approximately 2,000 metres above sea level within Mr. Kenya National Park. The lodge’s open-air viewing deck offers view of surrounding water hole with its wild-life and of course of spectacular Mt. Kenya (5,200 m) the country’s highest mountain. It is the nation’s namesake, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site. Mt. Kenya is also an extinct volcano some three and a half million years old and the sacred home of Ngai, God of the Kikuyu people.

MONDAY
Mt. Kenya – Samburu
We spend the day viewing the wildlife in the Reserve that includes a wide variety of animal and bird life: The big cats, elephants and other creatures you visited in the Zoo. Don’t forget the cameras! Meals and overnight at the Lodge.

TUSEDAY

WEDNESDAY
Samburu – Lake Nakuru
orning drive south towards Lake Nakuru National Park, named after, a small (it varies from 5 to 45 square kilometers) shallow alkaline lake. The lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth – more than a million fuchsia pink flamingos that feed on the abundant algae, which thrives in the warm waters. There is also a large variety of other bird species that inhabit the lake and the area surrounding it. The park has recently been enlarged partly to provide the sanctuary for the endangered black rhino. There are large sized pythons that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.

THURSDAY
Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake, part of the Great Rift Valley. The name derives from the local Maasai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise. The lake is fed by two rivers. There is no visible outlet, but since the lake water is relatively fresh it is assumed to have an underground outflow.
The lake is home to a variety of types of wildlife including over 400 different species of birds and a sizeable population of hippos which we shall endeavor to see at close range while on a leisurely boat ride. Floriculture forms the main industry around the lake and we shall also be able to admire the blooming flowers . In the afternoon we shall take a walk to Hell’s Gate National Park named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a prehistoric Naivasha lake. Two extinct volcanoes as well as hot springs are located in the park.

FRIDAY
Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara
Drive through the Rift Valley to Masai Mara National Reserve , the northern continuation of the Tanzania Serengeti National Park The Reserve is named after the Maasai people, the traditional inhabitants of the area and their description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area. It is famous for its population of Big Cats, and the annual immense migration of zebras, Thomson’s gazelles, and wildebeest from the Serengeti every year from July to October.
Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

SATURDAY
Masai Mara

We shall start early in the morning with a balloon safari and observe the wonders of nature at dawn. Later we shall visit at Masai village and experience just a taste of the culture of these wonderful people who through the ages have successfully resisted slavery and the onslaught of the modern West. The afternoon will be spent with more viewing of the animal inhabitants of the Reserve. Meals and Overnight at the Lodge.

SUNDAY
Masai Mara – Nairobi
A three hours drive will bring us back to Nairobi and to the Departure Lounge of its International Airport.
